CityForest is a team of horticulturists, designers and engineers focused on one thing: building beautiful and sustainable plant systems.

We are amongst the oldest and most experienced green wall companies in the southern hemisphere. With experience building and consulting in the Australian, Chinese, United States, Middle East and Singapore operating environments, our expertise is transcendent.

Founded in 2010 by gardening system expert Chris Allison, CityForest is a team of horticulturists, designers and engineers focused on one thing - building beautiful and sustainable plant systems.

With a genuine passion for bringing elements of nature into every facet of life, we are guided by innovation and sustainability. These core values combine to ensure that we are constantly raising the inherent quality of plant systems.

While we constantly strive to create and install advanced systems across a variety of different settings, we are also attuned to the importance of honouring plants. Our knowledge of plant tissue culture and the environments in which plants grow and thrive is unparalleled.

This expertise means that we design to include only the best plant varieties across our green architecture services which range from planter boxes, green roof systems and green facades to hanging gardens and BioActive Walls.

Our commitment to sustainability

We recognise the perilous state of our planet, and are proud that our garden systems remove CO2 from the atmosphere while cooling down our overheated cities.

Another key facet to understanding the intricacies of plants is acknowledging what these natural wonders can do for the planet. This knowledge drives our fundamental push to remain committed to embracing, implementing and further researching the notion of sustainability.

We recognise the perilous state of our planet and are proud that our garden systems remove CO2 from the atmosphere while also working to cool down our overheated cities. To further honour sustainability, we also use as much recycled material as possible.

This means that, in the construction of our garden systems, we consciously choose aluminium components derived from waste products like drinking cans. Further, the biofelt on our walls are made from recycled fast fashion, keeping microplastics away from waterways and the food chain.

By infusing our processes with sustainable technology and methods, we can better work to create innovative green infrastructure across a variety of different settings. This way, more people can experience the undeniable wellness benefits stemming from plantlife.

At the heart of CityForest is the calling to rewild cities. With the ability of environments to affect how we feel, homes and workplaces teeming with life can encourage individuals to stop and engage with nature.

Breathing in fresh clean air lays the foundation for a perfect atmosphere to develop. All of which encourages our team to keep working and innovating to ensure that more spaces can foster this unmatched feeling.
